Egress Court and reentry

I wanted to get some opinions on what constitutes reentry into a building after discharging from an exit.

If you have enclosed (2hr rated) egress stairs discharging on to an egress court but then have to go under structure above to reach public right of way, would that count as reentering the building?

Once you exit the stairs onto the court yard, the point at which you have to go under the 2nd story till you reach public right of way is about 36’ in travel distance with a 9’ ceiling.

Don't bank on my opinion but I would not call that reentry. I look forward to other responses.

I would be good with that arrangement

[BG] AREA, BUILDING. The area included within surrounding
exterior walls, or exterior walls and fire walls,
exclusive of vent shafts and courts. Areas of the building not
provided with surrounding walls shall be included in the
building area if such areas are included within the horizontal
projection of the roof or floor above.

According to the above definition it would be in a Building Area if you need to go under the building.

[BE] EGRESS COURT. A court or yard which provides
access to a public way for one or more exits.
