Good Day!

Criteria:
  • Florida Building Code
  • R1
  • 3 Stories
  • Type VB
  • Fully Sprinkled
  • 2 Hr Separation
Question:
Can I use any material for my enclosed stair construction?

Background:
We are trying to match a stair in a nearby historical Inn building. I don't see why I can't, it just feels odd not having done anything but pan or pre-cast in this situation.
Maybe I just need to "get out more".

Very Grateful!

See if the Fl Code has a similar section
2018 IBC

1011.7 Stairway construction.
Stairways shall be built of materials consistent with the types permitted for the type of construction of the building, except that wood handrails shall be permitted for all types of construction.
