If you use a megohmeter to check the windings for a short to ground, what reading would you expect at a minimum?
I'll go first. Below 1.5M Ohms is an issue, below 2M Ohms is a concern, but ideally over 5-6, and brand new over 10M Ohms.

we have one, the one in this photo is 6.7 mega ohms, which means it’s in excellent shape. what say thee?
