California project.
Working on a 3 story building that the first floor access to the elevator is from an exterior courtyard. I noticed that the second floor did not have an elevator lobby. We are doing the new common corridors on the third floor for a multi tenant situation. We would like to also not have an elevator lobby on the third floor.
I do not quickly see an exception for this, but my belief is that we are not actually connecting three floors as the first level is actually the exterior. So we are only connecting two floors of the enclosed building.
Is there an exception for this that I am missing?
