Has anyone seen the emergency pool phone run over the internet phone lines for the complex lines??

In many areas the phone company does all new phones over the internet. This has been an issue with fire alarm systems as well. The required POTS is no longer available. That said given the near universal proliferation of cell phones a separate landline is not as needed for emergency calls as they were in 2002 when that report was written. Note too that the report lists overall drowning rates with Alaska as the top state--which does not have as many pools. The report does not separate single family pools from multifamily pools.
