The CBC code sections/diagrams below imply to me that an EV charger should be on the same elevation as the vehicle space and that the user ought to be able to wheel the charging cord into the vehicle space, not separated by a curb. But 812.5.3 also mentions a curb as a possible way to provide a barrier that keeps the vehicle from intruding into the accessible route.
Q1: Is it appropriate to have a curb that separates the EV charger from the vehicle space?
Q2: Is their some minimum and maximum recommended spacing of bollards if they are provided?
Vehicle spaces and access aisles shall be designed so that when the vehicle space is occupied the required clear width of adjacent accessible routes is not obstructed. A curb, wheel stop, bollards or other barrier shall be provided if required to prevent encroachment of vehicles over the required clear width of adjacent accessible routes.
