Are they grandfathered if a sign is posted notifying assistance available?
ADA 2010 does not identify the screen as an operable part?

How is the "assistance provided" ?........Would a wheelchair
bound customer have to go \ roll in to the mini-mart, which
may or may not have an approved type of ramp in to the store,
...entrance door access, ...can the customer push some type
of operable Call Button to request assistance, ...does the store
operator speak English well enough for the customer to
understand, and on and on and on and on...

I do not believe that a sign will suffice.......Too many variables.

If it's a touch screen with no alternative way to make entries then I would suggest it must meet reach ranges, if a separate key pad IS within range then no problem. Mobility impaired persons who would be using the pumps are not likely blind, just can't necessarily reach higher than 54".
Any replacement pumps would need to comply.

This is a procedures in lieu of a physical change, one either honks or pushes a button to call the clerk. If station has only a single clerk on duty they are not required to provide assistance, that being the case how then would a person with a wheelchair or arthritis be able to manage the gas hose?
