Existing unrated corridor walls

I'm reviewing a project. I do not know when it was originally built but the last renovation was a total gut / addition in 2007.

They are looking to modify some existing corridor openings and during a review it seemed odd that they didn't have rated corridor walls since the occupancy load was high enough and they didn't have sprinklers. The table for B use, non sprinkled corridors above 30 occupants appears to be the same in our 2007 OBC as it is today. Are there exceptions I may be missing?
