Given a large conference room, OL of 114, within a larger B occupancy. There are three doors "serving" the room, one is outswing directly to the exterior (exit only), one is outswing to a lobby that leads to the main exit discharge, one is swinging into the room from a corridor that leads to two other exit discharge locations. The two outswing doors are marked exits, the other is not. I am questioning whether the inswing door is compliant in any way. My logic is that it is an exit access door, it "serves" a room with an A occupancy occupant load > 49, therefore it must be marked with exit signs and EM lighting, it must swing in the direction of travel, and it must be equipped with panic hardware. Furthermore, every exit access door between it and both of the exit discharge locations must meet the same requirements. The exit access path from that door is pretty convoluted, but it is VERY likely the one that will be used by the occupants in a non-emergency basis as the other two don't offer a convenient way to get back to the work areas of the B occupancy, where MOST of the occupants will come from MOST of the time.
I have never questioned this before but I am getting pushback on my comment that every door serving that space must meet the requirements all the way out.
