Exit Door 1010.1.5 Floor elevation

MN. Changing walls in a room in a daycare ($100k project). Am I required to upgrade all exterior landings to comply with 1010.1.5 Floor elevation (there shall be a floor or landing on each side of a door.) and/or ADA requirements for landings at doors? Some of the exterior doors do not have a landing outside currently.

There is one existing exit to the exterior from the room we are working in, and multiple other existing exits from other rooms in the building directly to the exterior.
 
Am I required to upgrade all egress door landings even in rooms where the doors are direct exits and there is no work being performed? Seems totally outside the scope of the project.
 
Minnesota adopted a version of the Existing Building Code -- they call it the 2020 Minnesota Conservation Code for Existing Buildings.

Since you are dealing with an existing building, you first need to determine which of the three alternate paths for compliance you want to use (Prescriptive Method, Work Area Method, or Performance Method). You have to choose on, and you can't jump back and forth between/among them. The choice of method is up to the designer, and must be declared on the construction documents. The plan reviewer will then review based on the method the designer has selecetd.
