Hi,

I'm using 2012 IFC. I'm filling out a fire flow calculator and have a question on the what is considered a exposed hazard.

I am doing a change of occupancy on one structure. It is 23' away from another building (so within 50'), however the two buildings will be connected with a breezeway and both buildings are fully sprinklered. The building I'm permitting is a Type V-B and the other building is a II-B.

Would the exposed hazard be within or more than 50' away (essentially does the Type II-B, fully sprinklered building constitute a hazard)

You could consider combing both buildings together and have them meet the requirements for a single building of the size you have?
