Fabric canopy

Anybody knows if the steel columns of a fabric canopy are required to be fire rated? there is no load to support
and the 4 sides are open. I am looking at exemption number 2 of the 2022 CBC 705.8 that allows for unlimited
unprotected openings.
 
there may be circumstances where fire-rated protection is not required for certain elements of a structure, such as steel columns.
