We are seeing a lot of revoked, invalid digital signatures lately coming from Architects and Engineers. After a conversation with IdentTrust and sharing a rejected signature with them, it was discovered that the Federal Common Policy GA trust certificate was revoked in April of 2021 and replaced. For the design professionals that routinely submit to federal agencies, probably already know this. For those that have the certificate but don't submit to federal agencies, they don't know it was revoked and since it it part of their submission "trust chain" it revokes the entire digital signature.

If you don't do federal work, you can have your provider just remove the Federal Common Policy from your signature or have them update your account to the new Federal Common Policy CA G2. I have started passing this information along to engineers and architects as we find revoked/invalid signatures on submitted documents.
