Per 2303.1.1 Sawn lumber.

Approved end-jointed lumber is permitted to be used interchangeably with solid-sawn members of the same species and grade.

I find plenty of info on a 1-hr rated stud but nothing on a 2-hr assembly which is what I have.

Does the above section cover this?

Thanks

APPROVED. Acceptable to the code official or authority having jurisdiction.

Only if you approve it. I would not since it has not been tested in a fire assembly. Might be okay, might not.
