When considering fire area, are bathrooms, stairs included in the fire area? Would be using NET occupancy. Where in the code would I find this information?

Thanks

Definitions:

[BE] FLOOR AREA, NET. The actual occupied area not
including unoccupied accessory areas such as corridors,
stairways, ramps, toilet rooms, mechanical rooms and closets.

Disregard, I see you are asking Fire Area, those areas you describe above would be included.

Definitions

[BF] FIRE AREA. The aggregate floor area enclosed and
bounded by fire walls, fire barriers, exterior walls or horizontal
assemblies of a building. Areas of the building not provided
with surrounding walls shall be included in the fire area
if such areas are included within the horizontal projection of
the roof or floor next above.

For your question, it will be the entire barn,

If the addition has one of the above, it should have a separate fire area.
