Fire Damper Wire run with Low Voltage Controls?

Hello all,

We have a fire inspection scheduled at a school we installed Low Voltage HVAC Controls in about 25 years ago coming up on August 19th. We are an HVAC company, but we're not sure if the liability falls on us for the following, or if it falls on the Fire Specialists that recently did an upgrade.

In that particular school, the fire system wiring was run along with our control low voltage wiring, and now they've done an upgrade on the damper equipment, so it should change to the current code. What we do not know is where our responsibility falls with the wiring, or if the wiring is permitted to be run in our low voltage conduit/boxes. We have searched some of the Commercial Fire Code and can't find any verbiage that actually requires this one way or another. We'd like to know a bit more about the subject before going to the fire marshal and checking directly with him, so any help is appreciated (even if you know the code # that relates to this).

Thanks in advance!

so your wiring and the fie alarm wire are in the same conduit???

Is it just for the run to the hvac equipment??

Not sure why you would have any liability. Your cabling was installed long before the recent upgrade by another vendor, the responsibilty should be on them to be compliant.
