Fire & Life Safety: Codes and Systems*The United States Fire Administration’s National Fire Academy (NFA) is recruiting students and instructor candidates to attend a pilot class for its new two-day course Campus Fire & Life Safety: Codes and Systems. The pilot will be offered September 14-15, 2013 at the National Emergency Training Center (NETC) Campus in Emmitsburg, Maryland.**Course Description:*This course will empower the learner to identify and mitigate common campus fire and life safety risks as well as understanding the basic components and operation of fire protection and life safety systems.*The*target audience*for this course will include (but not be limited to):Campus staff with responsibility for student safety, including campus housing coordinators.Fire department staff (both on-campus and off-campus).Local government officials (code enforcement, building inspection, etc.).
 
Now a days every workplace requires a competent person who can be able to recognize hazards associated with particular tasks, and has the ability to mitigate those hazards. It can improve the safety of workers and also helps to control accident-related costs. Its a great start to educate people to safeguard themselves against any mishap.
