Fire Rating

I have a building where a section is mercantile and is not sprinklered as per IBC, another section is R-2 and sprinklered, what should be the fire rating between the separation wall?

The IBC requires the whole building to be sprinklered if a R. So, the M should be separate building which a 3-hour fire wall can do.
