fire time lapse

We've been able to see the huge billows of smoke from the San Joaquin Valley floor - it looks like big thunderheads over the Sierra. Very sobering knowing that it's smoke and not the normal clouds we see this time of year.

Amazing video.

I've been living in the smoke from this fire since it started.

The first 3-5 days felt like I was in a different world. No sun, strange muted orange light all day. Lots of coughing, sneezing and watery eyes. Every time you walk outside it smells like a campfire. Nice smell, until you think about the reason for it.

Currently we actually can see the sun, but still have a smokey sky and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Still smells of campfire.

Thank god for all those firefighters and we pray for higher humidity, and good breezes to help them beat this monster.

The smoke is now fully in the San Joaquin Valley - still sunny but very hazy and you can really smell it. The firefighters battling this monster (well, ANY monster like this) are true heroes!
