Fire wall extension

We have a project that is adding onto an existing building. Archives and history wants a glass connector between the old and new. However, that is where we need a fire wall due to allowable area limits. If we extend the fire wall 4-ft plus 18" beyond the new building's exterior walls, that abut the fire wall perpendicular, will that eliminate the 1-hour fire rating required for exterior walls that are less than 180-degrees from a fire wall? [ref: 2012 IBC Section 705.5.1].

Both buildings will have an automatic fire suppression system. Both buildings have pitched roofs. The existing building has a wood framed roof system. The new addition will have non-combustible roof system. We plan on protecting the existing roof to 4-ft beyond the fire wall horizontally and the other roof is non-combustible [ref 706.5 two exceptions]. Exterior walls of both buildings are non-combustible.

What do you mean by "glass connector"? Is it like a glass-enclosed hallway that connects the buildings? Are the two buildings completely separated except at the "glass connector"? If so, how far apart are they? Have you looked at Section 3104 of the IBC?
