Any one take this exam? Is it worth it? Will it help in doing inspections on hood installations?

Seems odd an ICC exam would require NFPA 96 as a reference when it not not a referenced standard in any ICC code. I think it would cause confusion with the ICC requirements

It does say "technician" so cda may be right. Although the I-codes don't have NFPA 96 as a standard, Oregon does amend the fire code to include that standard.

NFPA 96 and 2009 IMC differ in clearance reduction methods but seems like they add up to being the same thing.
