Floor / Ceiling Fire Separation in a Historic Type IIIB Building

I am trying to achieve a horizontal 2 hour fire separation assembly in an old Type IIIB building being repurposed for multiple uses / tenants. We want the ground floor spaces to be open to the exposed wood floor framing above. What are the ways I can achieve this required separation without covering the floor farming with gypsum board per typical UL Details? IE. 2 Hr assembly that exists entirely above the wood floor framing?

You can’t. The structural members supporting the horizontal assembly must be protected, too.

Build the 2-hour horizontal assembly, then add a faux framing system below.
