forward flow test

the only thing I know for sure is no one seems to know how to do the test. And most of the systems I have seen have no provision to do the forward flow test. A problem I see is the building codes do not require the sprinkler system to have provision for a forward flow. I serviced a wet system yesterday. I found the check valve in the FDC piping 20 feet above the floor, behind the paint booth. There is no way to safely access the check valve or to install a bypass valve.

Depending on which version of Nfpa 13 and 25 the adopted I code references

It does require a means and the annual test
