I think it may need some ridge bracing and those collar ties might be a little small.

I am not sure how you found my cousins house, but it looks just like her. One ad-on to another add on and neither one was correct. This almost looks like an addition to the overhang of an existing gable end. I am sure the contract was in good standing, got all the proper permits and inspections. I wonder if the roof tar is holding the joist and what about the 16d nail shim on the next one over. What is that all about?
