Not where I really want to be
Ok, this is in the private area:

I have received 256 emails in February so far related to this website plus another 20 plus that went to my personal, private email and I lost count on my PM's because I had to delete them since we are limited on PM box messages.

Am I whining? Yeah, sort of. I don't mind the normal, everyday PM's that are part of running this board, I don't mind the emails either. This is where I get a little miffed:

1) Don't lose your email account information then contact me with through another email account and not tell me your user-name then expect me to be able to help you. There is no possible way for me to find out who you are whatsoever. If you don't give me the email address you registered with or your user-id, I am on an impossible task. After you then complain that you still can't log in because of this and the fact that you forgot your password, I can't help you so don't get ****ed at me.

2) Registering. You must click on an activation code link that is automatically emailed to you after you register. This ensures that those who are registering are using actual email addresses that work. If you don't click on the registration link, you can't finish registration. Real simple. If you tell me you did not get it I will send one manually, if you tell me you still did not get it, check you f(&%'n spam box. The activation codes come from the same email you contacted me on. If I manually send you the codes 5 times and you still email me every day for a week, don't know what to tell you. God must not want you to register. Especially if 24 people have registered with no problems after you first started. Then notifying me you changed email addresses before you finished registering won't help either. See Darwin.

3) Don't complain that there is a private area for those who are supporters, then complain that there is text advertising at the bottom of the pages. If you want to have those text google links disappear then send me a penny in the mail and you have officially donated. So don't do that while whining to me then tell me you are leaving this site, only to go to another site that is new, has banner advertising at the top of the forum page and asks you for donations. I really hope you don't breed.

OK, I feel better.

lol...love it! I've run groups, run organizations and run forums...gotta love those people...the bigger it gets the more you see. It's one of those curses of becoming popular.

Jeff sit down open a cold one and take the weekend off it's gonna be okay we will not let you get stressed.

jar,

inspecterbake has the right advice but he stopped a little short. Have SEVERAL cold ones and use them for chasers for the whiskey, while auditioning models for a new avitar. LOL

Thanks for your work Jeff. I appreciate it.

Jeff:

You should copy your rant and put it in a 'welcome to the forum' email to all new members. It would make you feel good every time you sent it out. ;-)

This is the best forum ever, Jeff! Thanks... don't worry about those who drift away... if they are real "code food junkies" they'll be back.. probably as donors as the curiosity is obviously killing them. :)
