I know a propane tank cannot be located near/under power lines,

But can a generator with a diesel belly tank be near or under power lines??

Looking at IFC only, unless a NFPA standard applies

Greetings,

Went through the same thing a year or so back. However, it was local requirements that kept the gen set away from the lines. Local power co. requirements are adopted into our ordinances and that's where the rub came in. Might look into it. To avert the conflict, the gen owner paid to have the lines moved as opposed to moving the get set over a few feet which he had room for. Oh well, some folks don't care how they spend their money I guess.

cda,

I agree with BSSTG! Most utility companies have a dedicated easement for their transmission

lines ONLY. They do not want other stuff in that easement. Recommend that someone check

with the utility provider for their requirements.
