Getting Back Into The CRS

I am working on getting our town back into the CRS program with FEMA. During the first read of a new floodplain ordinance I brought to the commission, I was surprised that they changed my recommendation of a 3 year lookback to a 5 year lookback for substantial improvements. Prior to this we had no lookback. The timing was right because we have new FIRMS that just went from preliminary to pending so I used that required ordinance change to make some CRS friendly changes.

What other floodplain ordinance changes do you think will help our CRS rating when we enter back in?
