How many of you utilize GIS services and or integrate it into your building department software?
It’s becoming critical for the street department, water, department, fire department, planning and zoning, and of course a convenience for the building departmentBarely, but I could see the awesomeness if I could make it happen/ afford it...
We have a pretty robust GIS system for inhouse use, looking up owners, seeing topos, utilities, easements, etc. - it doesn't help much in field for inspectors. It also doen't link to our approval software.How many of you utilize GIS services and or integrate it into your building department software?
Do you have County tax assessment information available like this? We can search any property we want.To have permit software that would automatically flag wetlands and historic and flood and all kinds of other stuff would be awesome...Or click on a parcel and seamlessly take you to applying for a permit and things like that...Again...getting the municipality to invest...
