Glazing in Fire Wall

We have storefront within a fire wall and as I understand it, fire-resistance-rated glazing assemblies can be utilized within a fire wall. That being said, can we use normal glazing and provide a vertical/side acting fire shutter instead, or does the glazing need to be rated regardless?
 
Yes, provided that the opening complies with Section 706.8 (2018 IBC). If either building is not sprinklered, then the opening area is limited to 156 sq. ft. Whether sprinklered or not, the aggregate width of all openings on a story cannot exceed 25% of the fire wall's overall length.
