I give the man alot of credit... not only was a good thing done, but he didn't show his hand or reveal any "tell"...

peach,

Surely you are not going to open up this thread for a multi-page

effort, are you? :o

I give lots of credit and appreciation to ALL Armed Forces veterans,

past, present & future, but PLEASE, let's not go down this trail.

IMO, it will exceed the famed "attic stairs" thread by leaps &

bounds.

My fingers are not wanting to coordinate with my thoughts, so

I'm going to have to eject now, before I flame out!

Just sayin' I wouldn't play poker with the president... I'd lose...

As a retired Army officer, mobilized after 9/11 for a year to serve... much in touch with the US military (both of my parents served in WW2), belong to ROA, MOAA, etc., I'm not taking a political stance.. I think a very good thing has happened; my friends hang around in here, so I want everyone to know I believe our President made a brave stance.

I'm proud to be an American.. all the time.. but I also saw the Pentagon within days of the attack, AND I work in DC.. so I'm aware of the challenges ahead.

Don't draw into an inside staight.

Maybe this should be moved to a new thread in "Other Topics"

BTW...... was up the other night and watched the news break. I slept well and didn't loose any sleep. Thanks!

I believe this thread is purely about the president having such a major situation going on and not showing it. Please do not turn this into anything political as it will get shut down and deleted. Just saying. Just some friendly advice.

Actually, I consider myself a pretty good poker player, no problem playing with Mr. Obama or anyone else (an old inspector friend said playing poker with inspectors is a VERY difficult feat as most of us are pretty good at keeping a shut mouth and open eyes and ears to pick up on all sorts of subtle signs while not revealing what we are thinking or doing).

As I said to my wife, you don't want Navy Seals or Texas Rangers (not the baseball team) on your tail, because they never stop till they get you, no matter how long it takes.
