I am looking for the charging language in the `09 ANSI A117.1

and \ or the `10 ADA SAD that requires grab bars in Shower

compartments.

I have a project where an existing Male Shower Compartment

has 4 separate shower heads in it [ i.e. - a military type Gang

Shower, w \ potentially 4 users at once ], and the RDP has

submitted plans to have an ADA compliant shower head only,

installed, ...no mention about the limitation on the height

A.F.F. [ RE: 48" ], and no mention about grab bars being

installed.

Are grab bars actually required in this type of renovation ?

FWIW, ...the whole project essentially, ...is to renovate the

Men's & Women's Restrooms to be ADA compliant, and to

replace existing plumbing fixtures with water conserving

plumbing fixtures.

Thanks for your input !
