Good morning all,

I have been seeing more and more of this and looking for opinions on how others are viewing this.

This is an entrance stair flight to a home, however comment on both being the primary MOE and just another exit from a home.

The stairs are a straight decent down with the stairs widening in straight block outs. In other words the stairs are not curved and the treads are standard uniform 6" risers on 15" treads.

What are your views on the radius curve outs and returns on a none curving stair flight?

I believe they are complaint but just wondering how others are viewing them.

IMHO

It dose not "violate" the code, but makes the walkline more difficult to maneuver for the elderly, or anyone else that relies on the railing.

I agree.

Looks like you need a return on the left (top ?) end.

What does the other side of the stair look like, is it symmetrical? Or, is there a straight run that could make a nicer rail?

Regardless, I think the radius rail is compliant.
