Help. Cultured Marble Lavoratories Question

Please help. Is a backsplash and are endsplashes required by IPC code for cultured marble lavoratories?

I don't think they ever are required.....IRC or IPC....I believe only WC and urinals are spec'd for wall finishes....joints would have to be caulked for health and cleaning reasons IPC 405.5

Not in the codes, but maybe in one of the standards, ANSI Z124.3 or CSA B45.5

Waterproofing seal where it makes contact with wall.

IRC P2705.1 or IPC 405.5
