Help Keep The Building Code Forum Strong – Become a Sawhorse Member Today
The Building Code Forum Needs Your Support
Since October 2009, The Building Code Forum has been a vital resource for Building Officials, Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Permit Technicians, Building Inspectors, and Plans Examiners. It has grown into one of the largest and most respected communities dedicated to building codes and code enforcement. This past year, we reached a major milestone—removing all banner ads for our Sawhorse members, creating a cleaner and distraction-free experience for those who support the forum.
Running and maintaining this forum is not free. Over the past year, we have tripled our operating costs to ensure the site remains secure, up-to-date, and future-proof. We operate on secure servers with an SSL certificate to protect not just the website but our members as well. Unlike many other forums, I, as the owner (jar546), do not take a salary. This has been a labor of love from the moment Richard Jensen (RJJ), may he rest in peace, called me and asked if I could quickly create a forum when the ICC was shutting theirs down. That night, this community was born.
Many of us rely on this forum for code discussions, professional guidance, and peer support. It is a place where we can share knowledge, navigate complex code issues, and strive for consistency in enforcement. Now, I am asking those who have benefited from this forum to consider stepping up and becoming a Sawhorse member.
