Glad to join this group! I am a fire protection engineer who works on the design side of construction - currently live in Texas but I do work around the US and some overseas. Have seen posts off and on for a while and see the value and expertise in this community with the many knowledgeable individuals on here. Looking forward to future discussions. Chat soon!
 
Welcome aboard. Fire protection engineering is, IMHO, an under-used and undervalued profession. I wish more of the architects and owners whose plans I review would engage a qualified FPE before submitting and having their plans rejected for things an FPE could/would have addressed up front.
