I wrote a correction that a valve can't be left in the wall. The contractor called to say that he will install an access panel...it is in the living room.

There used to be a wall furnace and now there is a FAU in the attic. There is a shut-off valve at the FAU.

He wouldn't know what that is. I always say "approved fireblocking" That they can find at Home Depot.
