Who can tell the group how this condenser unit should be wired? The service is 120/208 3-phase knocked down to single phase at the panel that feeds this unit on the roof of the high rise.

How does this get wired?

Assuming the distance is not too far, 20- or 25-amp breaker, 12-gauge wire.

14 gauge copper suffices if a 75C wiring method is used (i.e. not NM, UF, LFMC/LFNC in a wet location, etc)

I agree the biggest factor that Ihave seen in the field is not compensating for voltage drop on long runs
