How long did it take?

How long did it take to develop this discussion board from when it was decided to do it until it was live?

Note that the ICC had the focus group in Denver a year ago to get input on their new board that is still not up.

I think Jeff had this forum up and running in a couple hours, and has fine-tuned it as need be.

Frank: what you missed is that 'a focus group' doesn't build a discussion board. Jeff built the Building Codes Forum, with some help from RJJ, and others. Like Nike says, 'Just do it!'

There was about a 48 hour notice from ICC that they where going to pull the plug which they did on 10-16-2009.

Jeff sent an invite to join this board the evening of the 16th to join

I was a member here on 10-17-2009. He already had the website but I am sure it took a number of dedicated hours to get it started and only he and couple of others really know the amount of time and expense it is for him.

I sense a pattern here. ICC has talked about on-line voting for how long now and now they're telling us it won't be available for another 2-3 years! I'm with ewenme, just do it!
