When I asked the contractor where he learned how to do that, he said from a code official in NB, Canada. I did not believe him.

My last one wasn't quite that bad......It just wasn't done...Until it was done with foam...And then it still wasn't done.....

I tellya, firestops are one of the major issues in my world. I've simply come to accept that few contractors care enough to learn how to do it right, and the only way they will learn is if they are told to rip it out and do it over ($$$).
