A bit out of my normal area here.

If you use I-Joists between (2) I-joists for bridging, do you also have to use Joist hangers?

Can't seem to get an answer from other sources.

2-5/16 x 11.875 BC 250's set on 16-in c/l

You need to find the literature for the specific product you're installing (or proposing) and see what they say. I just did a quick internet search and I found three different ones and with a quick scan through I'd say no, you don't need hangers for blocking.

What is the intent of the bridging?

To prevent rotation of the I-joists?

To hang something off the bottom of the joist in the room below? Don't do that :)

Need more info.

I've never seen it required, but it is manufacturer specific, so there might be one out there that does require it.
