Ice.. you post pictures.. and I love looking at pictures.. but most of your pictures I just don't get! Please throw us some type of bone as to what you are referring too!

Is it about no joist hangers?? The lack of nails in the ends of joists?

Is this what we are supposed to be doing? Trying to figure out why you posted the picture????

"I like skylights too"????? A little explanation as to why the picture is posted as it relates to the code would sure generate a lot more discussion.

Or do I have it all wrong? Are you just loving that someone installed a skylight! :)
 
I think ICE is referring to the framing for the skylight against the wall framing. How is that gonna work? LOL. Deep dish skylights, eh?
 
I'd like to see the trimmer joists doubled. seems that that single header is located more than three feet from the bearing of the trimmer joist. I suppose a few joist hangers would be a good addition as well.

Thank you very much. As I explained on the thread you linked too...it makes sense....

Keep em coming and I will throw a few comment... positive comments to make the viewers who cannot see the pics to wonder..."What the hell are they talking about!" Because there were some interesting first liners.....

Like remember the bucket??? Or was it a barrell are was it.... never mind...I'll just sit here and look pretty!!!
