These are people that need help. You can't just accept the lowest common denominator.
A transgender is by definition dysfunctional, but gender reassignment can conceivably correct that, and allow those individuals to function, well... normally I guess.
It removes a burden.
But mutilation of a healthy body is something else entirely. It does not matter that they can't help their feelings, the same way that the desires of pedephiles canot be a valid consideration.
They can have those thoughts, but not act on them.
There should be no tolerance of the Crazy on this level.
