That's right Msradell. It's a code violation. Not to mention how mashed it is inside the wall. This went straight up and out the roof. It would have been a potential fire in no time.Msradell said:Flexible vent hose should be used minimally usually only from the wall to the dryer. The inside of it collects buildup much faster than rigid ductwork. The buildup causes reduced air flow and potentially a fire hazard. Rigid is also much easier to clean flexible hose is almost impossible to clean.

It actually looks like it's designed for a stacked washer and dryer since both the vent and the natural gas line are placed high off the floor.fatboy said:Aw, come on, they cut such a nice hole in the rock, and left the clamps as a bonus!
