(0.2 CEUs) (Concurrent Education)
Presented by Sean Cleary
During this 90 minute presentation we will look at product listing and approval programs for backflow prevention assemblies. What approval programs exist? Is laboratory testing the best way to simulate real world conditions? Is field testing necessary? Is in-house testing appropriate? We will also take a balanced look at field test procedures and the industry discussion about which is the most accurate procedure that exists today. Or is it possible that there is more than one?

2015 UPC Roof Drainage
(0.2 CEUs) (Concurrent Education)
Presented by Dan Rademacher
Proper roof drainage does not just plan for the average rainy day, it must also be designed and installed to manage historical rainfalls. The 2015 UPC saw some changes and new language with regards to roof drainage and roof drains themselves. In this presentation the general provision regarding roof drainage will be discussed with special attention being paid to the new requirements.

3:15 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Effect of Emergency Eye wash Standards on Plumbing Systems
(0.2 CEUs) (Concurrent Education)
Presented by Scott Hamilton
Emergency showers and eye wash stations are an important safety element in occupancies that contain a risk of exposure to harmful chemicals or other substances. Often, there is a lack of understanding regarding the correct installation of these systems and the industry standards that regulate them. Proper installation requirements and ASSE 1071 will be thoroughly discussed in this session and attendees will leave with a better understanding of these vital systems.
