Spells out requirements for # of accessible and type B units for R1 occupancies based on total number of units on the site. 1107.6.1.1 for "accessible" seems pretty clear, you are basing this on the total number of units on site.

The 1107.6.1.2 Type B apportinment, however, is based entirely on buildings with 4 or more units.

So if I have a small existing resort with 20 individual units(separate cabins), only one has to be accessible, and no type B units required?

Thanks. Hope all is well with everyone this winter!

I would agree that no Type B Units would be required since these are seperate structures. Also IBC 2009; 3411.1 states that Type B Units required by 1107 are not required in alterations to existing buildings
