Maybe the senators backing S.835 Pro Codes Act should be aware that ICC sells its AC377 standard for spray foam insulation at $5.000 each. Members of ICC gets no break, they still pay $5,000. The California Energy Code requires AC377 compliance unless the builder accepts a prescriptive R-value for the SPF, so Californian have to sharpen their pencil to decide if complying with AC377 can overcome the $5,000 charge.
