can I keep it? That's always the first question.

Reminds me of one of the steel carports we found erected in the street at a dead end.

Here it would be exempt from permit state ammended accessory structure area exemption to 200 sq ft.

There should be a code exception for Baja Bug shelters.

But I'm biased toward the first car I bought.

If I get a permit, can I keep it?

the bug or the carport?

diffently the flag's a keeper!!

I agree with brudgers - the baja is a keeper. Around here, zoning would have a field day with that structure, permit or no.

Although it is exempt it still must meet planning requirements. Still hard to find anything to enforce for a carport that size in Virginia. I would laugh then walk away. Cool bug for sure!

What a riot........is it just me, I don't even see any anchors on the 4X4's...........yuk, yuk, heck the wind ain't gonna blow that hard.........

Yup. I'd take the bug, before the whole dang "shelter" does any damage to it.

Wonder if the wind moved it closer to the neighbors? Looks like they have zero clearance side yard requirements in that subdivision
