With a daycare, whether it be an E or I-4 occupancy, if the common restrooms accommodate all the ADA fixtures, do the individual classroom restrooms need to be ADA accessible, as well?

---

Also, is it possible to count the fixtures in the individual classroom restrooms, toward the over required fixture count of the building?

I believe 1109.2 ish says yes, they are not clustered, but there might be a break for childrens.........

7. Where toilet facilities are primarily for children’s
use, required accessible water closets, toilet compartments
and lavatories shall be permitted to comply
with children’s provision of ICC A117.1.

All toilet and bathing rooms are to be accessible unless clustered in the same location. If primary for children's use they still need to be accessible, but with different dimensions for toilets, grab bars and toilet paper dispensers.

The word public isn't in the IBC. Should be all toilets with just a very few exceptions.
“Public” probably isn’t in IBC or ADA but there are several exceptions for private toilets or toilets in residences.
If it isn’t a private bathroom it must be accessible. Better?

A private school, country club, airport, office or gym still need accessible toilets.

Aren't the only buildings not private are government buildings?

You're a tough customer.

The private bathroom exceptions are for single occupant bathrooms accessed through private offices or in dwellings (which must meet other requirements).
