The IFC 2024 Section 314 provides comprehensive guidelines for indoor displays:
  • General Rules: Indoor displays need to comply with Sections 314.2 to 314.4.
  • Fixture and Display Arrangement: These should be set up to ensure unobstructed access to exits, as mandated in Chapter 10.
  • Highly Combustible Goods: The display of combustible items such as fireworks, flammable liquids, gases, oxidizing materials, and agricultural goods is restricted near exits and main aisles.
  • Indoor Vehicle Displays: Conditions for displaying vehicles indoors include:
    • Making engine starting systems inoperable or disconnecting ignition batteries.
    • Fuel in tanks must not exceed one-quarter tank or specific limits for various fuel types (5 gallons for Class I, II, III liquid fuel; 6.6 gallons for LP gas; 630 cubic feet for CNG; 2,000 cubic feet for hydrogen).
    • Fuel tanks and fill openings must be closed and sealed.
    • Vehicles cannot be fueled or defueled inside the building.
