I made the trek up to the top of the roof, climbed over the parapet wall crawled under the solar panel on my back, adjusted my trifocals and did'nt see the (UL) label, also noticed the panel had a different name than what was submitted for review.

But...Did see the Canada (CE) and noticed a CSA (C US) certification. Is the CSA equivalent to the (UL) certification, do you think I can accept this substitute panel?

CE is European Union and has nothing to do with a listing. Here's a web site that explains UL, CSA, CE and ETL.

http://www.crownaudio.com/certifmarks.htm

You will find that the Canadian mark (CSA) with a US added is legal in the USA.

As far as swapping modules goes, that isn't allowed unless the system is sent back through plan check.

I never crawl. If the panels are raised enough to get a picture, I do that. If not, I ask them to remove a module.

ICE,

The panels did have the (CSA)us label so I should be good to go. I will have them redo their calcs with the substituted panels before I give them a final. Panels were raised enough to get my head under for a view, just did'nt see the (UL) label. I had my I-phone with me but took it off before going up on the roof, that will not happen again, to valuable of a tool left in the car.

Thanks, pc1
